Boom Recirculation System

Circulate mix through the whole boom and back to the tank while you drive to and from the paddock, and flush the full boom when you change products. One switch in the cab changes between spray and recirculate.

What the kit includes

  • Acetal plastic boom adaptors

    Replace the black John Deere aspirator fittings. Your ExactApply nozzle bodies fit straight back on. Viton o-rings included.

  • Centre feed, dump and recirculation valve kit

    ARAG 12 V dump valve and 3-way manual ball valve. Replaces the standard centre feed on the John Deere tree.

  • 12 V cab switch box

    Spray/Recirc toggle with cable. Mounts in the cab and runs off 12 volts.

  • Boom feed kits

    One labelled kit for each boom section, from wing tip to centre rack. The number of kits depends on boom width.

  • Tank return kit

    Tee fitting and 1" hose barb for the left rear fill port on the spray tank.

You supply the hose

Hoses and hose clamps are not included. The install uses 1" hose between boom sections, 25 mm pressure hose to extend the wing tip feeds, 32 mm spray hose for the centre feed, and a return hose to the tank. Some booms also need caps for the factory tee pieces (part ARA50). We'll tell you how many.

Using it

  1. 1Turn the John Deere pump on.
  2. 2Flick the cab switch to Recirc. Mix circulates through the boom and back to the tank.
  3. 3Flick the switch to Spray when you reach the paddock.

Recirculate only while travelling. Don't recirculate while spraying.

Installation

The kits arrive labelled in fitting order. Lay them out beside the boom, then work through these steps.

  1. Fit the acetal plastic adaptors in place of the aspirator fittings.
  2. Plumb the boom feed kits, starting at the breakaway.
  3. Assemble the valve kit and fit it to the centre of the John Deere tree.
  4. Set up the 3-way tap and run the return hose beside the supply hose.
  5. Fit the tank return tee above the check valve on the rear fill port.
  6. Mount the cab switch box and connect it to 12 V.
  7. Update the John Deere solution settings.
